Preparing Your Pet
It is crucial to introduce the nail grinder to your pet gradually to ensure a positive experience. Allow your pet to sniff and investigate the grinder while it is off. For best results, begin with short, frequent sessions rather than long, infrequent ones.
Grinding Technique
- Ensure your pet is calm and comfortable. Hold their paw gently but firmly.
- Turn the grinder ON using the 2-speed switch. Start with the lower speed setting for initial use or nervous pets.
- Gently place your pet's nail into the appropriate opening of the adjustable safety guard.
- Apply the grinding drum to the tip of the nail for only 1-2 seconds at a time. This prevents the nail from overheating and causing discomfort.
