2. Настройка і ўстаноўка

Proper installation of your new pedals is crucial for safety and performance. Please follow these steps carefully.

  • Pedal wrench (recommended item 85526) or a 15mm open-end wrench.

  1. Identify Left and Right Pedals: Pedals are typically marked with 'L' for left and 'R' for right. The right pedal (drive side) has a standard thread, while the left pedal has a reverse thread. This means the left pedal tightens counter-clockwise and loosens clockwise.
  2. Падрыхтуйце шатуны: Ensure the threads on your bicycle's crank arms are clean and free of debris. Applying a small amount of bicycle grease to the pedal threads can prevent seizing and make future removal easier.
  3. Install Right Pedal: Insert the 'R' pedal into the right crank arm. Turn clockwise by hand to start threading. Once finger-tight, use your pedal wrench to firmly tighten the pedal. Do not overtighten, but ensure it is secure to prevent loosening during use.
  4. Install Left Pedal: Insert the 'L' pedal into the left crank arm. Turn counter-clockwise by hand to start threading (reverse thread). Once finger-tight, use your pedal wrench to firmly tighten the pedal.
