4. Ўстаноўка
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. It is recommended to work on one side of the motorcycle at a time.
4.1 Падрыхтоўка
- Park the motorcycle on a level surface and secure it on a stand.
- Gather all necessary tools (e.g., Allen wrenches, sockets, torque wrench).
- Remove the original footpeg assemblies from both sides of the motorcycle. Keep original hardware organized in case it is needed for reinstallation or reference.
4.2 Left Side (Shift Side) Installation
Малюнак 4.1: The assembled left-side rearset, showing the footpeg, shift lever, and mounting points.
- Attach the left rearset plate to the motorcycle frame using the provided mounting bolts. Ensure all bolts are finger-tight before final tightening.
- Install the shift lever onto the rearset plate.
- Connect the shift linkage rod between the shift lever and the motorcycle's gear selector shaft. Adjust the length of the linkage rod to achieve the desired shift lever position.
- Install the footpeg onto the left rearset.
- Once all components are in place, tighten all mounting bolts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications.
4.3 Right Side (Brake Side) Installation
Малюнак 4.2: The assembled right-side rearset, showing the footpeg, brake lever, and mounting points.
- Attach the right rearset plate to the motorcycle frame using the provided mounting bolts.
- Install the brake lever onto the rearset plate.
- Connect the brake linkage rod to the motorcycle's rear brake master cylinder. Ensure the brake light switch is properly connected and functioning.
- Install the footpeg onto the right rearset.
- Once all components are in place, tighten all mounting bolts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications.
4.4 Канчатковыя праверкі
- Verify that all bolts are securely tightened.
- Check for proper operation of the gear shifter and rear brake.
- Ensure the brake light activates correctly when the rear brake is applied.
- Confirm that there is no interference with other motorcycle components.
5. Карэкціроўка
The Arashi Rearsets offer multiple adjustment points to customize your riding position for optimal comfort and control.
Малюнак 5.1: Буйны план view of the shift control mechanism, highlighting the adjustable linkage, ball bearings, and footpeg design. This image illustrates the components that allow for precise gearshift and foot position adjustments.
5.1 Footpeg Position Adjustment
- The rearset plates typically have multiple mounting holes for the footpegs and levers. Loosen the relevant bolts, reposition the footpeg to your desired height and fore/aft position, and then re-tighten securely.
5.2 Shift Lever Position Adjustment
- The shift linkage rod (as shown in Figure 5.1) is threaded, allowing its length to be adjusted. Loosen the lock nuts on the linkage rod, rotate the rod to lengthen or shorten it, and then re-tighten the lock nuts. This changes the angle and position of the shift lever.
- Ensure the shift lever has adequate clearance and does not interfere with other parts of the motorcycle throughout its full range of motion.
5.3 Brake Lever Position Adjustment
- Similar to the shift lever, the brake lever position can often be adjusted by modifying the length of its linkage rod or by adjusting the position of the lever on its pivot point.
- After adjusting the brake lever, always verify that the rear brake light activates correctly and that there is no drag on the rear wheel when the brake is released.
6. Тэхнічнае абслугоўванне
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and safe operation of your Arashi Rearsets.
- Уборка: Clean the rearsets regularly with a mild detergent and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the anodized finish.
- агляд: Periodically inspect all bolts and fasteners for tightness. Check for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage to the aluminum components.
- змазка: Apply a small amount of grease to the pivot points of the shift and brake levers, as well as the ball bearings, to ensure smooth operation.
- Падножкі: Inspect the footpeg grip surface for wear. Replace if the grip is significantly reduced.
7. Выпраўленне непаладак
У гэтым раздзеле разглядаюцца распаўсюджаныя праблемы, з якімі вы можаце сутыкнуцца.
