4.1. Installing Extruded U-nuts and Body Bolts
Extruded U-nuts are designed to provide a threaded receptacle for bolts, often used on thin panels or edges. The body bolts are then threaded into these U-nuts.
- Identify the mounting location for the U-nut. Ensure the panel edge or hole aligns with the U-nut's design.

- Insert a body bolt through the component's hole and into the U-nut.

4.2. Installing Plastic Push Clips

- Ensure the receiving hole is clean and free of debris.
- Align the push clip with the hole in the panel or component.
- Insert the pointed end of the clip into the hole.
- Apply firm, even pressure to the head of the clip until it clicks into place and sits flush with the surface. This expands the clip's prongs behind the panel, securing it.
- To remove, a trim removal tool may be required to pry the clip out without damage.
