Настройка і ўстаноўка

1. Cartridge and Stylus Installation

The cartridge and stylus are pre-assembled for convenience. Follow these steps to install them onto your turntable's tonearm:

  1. Carefully remove the old cartridge and stylus from the tonearm. Note the wiring connections (usually red, white, green, blue).
  2. Connect the new AudioOrigin cartridge to the tonearm wires, ensuring correct color matching (e.g., Red to Right Hot, White to Left Hot, Green to Right Ground, Blue to Left Ground). Refer to your turntable's original manual for specific wiring if unsure.
  3. Mount the cartridge securely to the headshell using the provided screws (if applicable) or by sliding it into the headshell slot. Ensure it is aligned correctly.
  4. Adjust the tracking force according to your turntable's specifications, typically between 1.5 to 3.0 grams for most cartridges. Use a tracking force gauge for accuracy.
  5. Set the anti-skate control on your turntable to match the tracking force.

2. Drive Belt Replacement

Replacing the drive belt is crucial for consistent platter speed. Ensure your turntable is unplugged before starting.

  1. Remove the turntable platter. This usually involves lifting it straight up after removing any mat. Some models may require removing a retaining clip or screw.
  2. Locate the old drive belt. It will typically be stretched around the motor pulley and the inner rim of the platter or sub-platter.
  3. Carefully remove the old belt.
  4. Clean any residue from the motor pulley and the platter's inner rim with a lint-free cloth.
  5. Place the new AudioOrigin drive belt around the motor pulley and then stretch it evenly around the inner rim of the platter or sub-platter. Ensure the belt is not twisted.
  6. Carefully replace the platter, ensuring the belt remains correctly seated. Rotate the platter manually a few times to confirm the belt is stable.

3. Turntable Spindle Lubrication (V2 Super Lube)

Proper lubrication of the turntable spindle ensures smooth platter rotation and reduces wear. Use the provided V2 Super Lube sparingly.

  1. With the platter removed (as in step 2), locate the central spindle bearing well.
  2. Clean any old grease or dirt from the spindle and bearing well using a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. Allow to dry completely.
  3. Apply 2-3 drops of AudioOrigin V2 Super Lube directly into the bearing well. Do not over-lubricate.
  4. Carefully reinsert the platter onto the spindle, allowing the oil to distribute evenly. Rotate the platter manually for a minute to help spread the lubricant.
