Embouchure and Sound Production

The embouchure is crucial for producing a clear sound.

  • Lip Plate Placement: Rest the lip plate against your chin, just below your lower lip.
  • Embouchure Hole: Position your lower lip to cover about one-quarter to one-third of the embouchure hole.
  • Air Stream: Direct a focused, steady stream of air across the embouchure hole, aiming for the opposite edge. Experiment with the angle and speed of your air to produce a clear tone.
