Follow these steps to perform an accurate measurement with your EasyDens:

  1. Ensure the EasyDens device is clean and dry.
  2. Connect the syringe to the inlet port of the EasyDens and the waste hose to the outlet port.
  3. Draw approximately 2 mL of your sample liquid into the syringe.
  4. Carefully inject the sample into the EasyDens measuring cell until it is completely filled, ensuring no air bubbles are present.
  5. Open the Meister App on your smartphone/tablet and connect to your EasyDens device via Bluetooth.
  6. Initiate the measurement from the app. The device will perform the measurement and display the results (e.g., SG, Plato, Brix) along with the temperature.
  7. Save the measurement to a batch within the app for tracking.

4.1 Cleaning the EasyDens

Regular cleaning is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and longevity of your EasyDens device. After each measurement, especially with sugary or viscous samples, clean the measuring cell immediately.

  1. Disconnect the syringe and waste hose.
  2. Rinse the measuring cell thoroughly with distilled water using the syringe. Inject water until the cell is clear of any residue.
  3. For stubborn residues, a mild cleaning solution recommended by Anton Paar can be used, followed by a thorough rinse with distilled water.
  4. Allow the measuring cell to air dry completely or gently dry with a lint-free cloth.
  5. The EasyDens is water-resistant (IP65), allowing for simple rinsing under a tap, but avoid submerging the entire device.

Proper cleaning prevents sample residue buildup, which can affect measurement accuracy.
