Thank you for choosing the AudioQuest PowerQuest 505. This high-performance power conditioner and non-sacrificial surge protector is designed to enhance the performance and protect your valuable audio and video equipment by providing clean, stable power and robust surge protection. The PowerQuest 505 features 12 AC outlets, including 4 high-current outlets for amplifiers and 8 ultra-linear filtered outlets for source components, ensuring optimal power delivery and noise dissipation.

1. Распакаванне: Carefully remove the PowerQuest 505 from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
2. Размяшчэнне: Position the PowerQuest 505 in a stable location, either on a flat surface or mounted in a standard 2RU rack using the included rack ears. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Падключэнне сілкавання: Connect the provided PQ-715 detachable power cable to the IEC inlet on the rear of the PowerQuest 505. Plug the other end of the power cable into a grounded AC wall outlet.

   • For high-current devices such as power amplifiers, receivers, or powered subwoofers, use the High-Current Outlets (1-4).
   • For source components like CD players, DACs, preamplifiers, or media streamers, use the Ultra-Linear Filtered Outlets (5-12).
   Ensure all components are powered off before connecting them to the PowerQuest 505.
5. Першапачатковае ўключэнне: Once all connections are secure, flip the main power switch on the front panel of the PowerQuest 505 to the "ON" position. The "Protection On" indicator light should illuminate.

The AudioQuest PowerQuest 505 operates automatically to provide clean power and surge protection. There are minimal user controls beyond the main power switch.

  • "Protection On" (Green LED): This light indicates that the surge protection circuitry is active and functioning correctly. It should be illuminated whenever the unit is powered on.
  • "Overvoltage Protection" (Red LED): This light illuminates if the incoming AC voltage exceeds a safe threshold (e.g., 140VAC), triggering the Extreme-Voltage Shutdown feature. The unit will automatically disengage power to protect connected equipment. Once the voltage returns to a safe level, the unit will automatically reset.
• Кнопка скіду: A reset button is located near the power inlet on the rear panel. In rare cases, if the unit does not power on after an event, you may press this button to reset the internal circuit breaker.
