The device typically powers on automatically when a battery is inserted and the probe is connected. There is no dedicated power button. It will enter a low-power state after a period of inactivity.

2. The current internal temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen.

This feature allows you to set a desired target temperature. An alarm will sound when the food reaches this temperature.
