The Kizer Serpentine offers two primary methods for one-handed blade deployment:

• Thumb Hole Opener: Place your thumb in the circular cut-out on the blade and apply outward pressure to rotate the blade open until the frame lock engages.
• Front Flipper Opener: Position your index finger on the textured front flipper tab. Apply downward pressure and a slight flick of the wrist to deploy the blade. The blade will rotate open until the frame lock engages.

Securing the Blade (Frame Lock): The knife features a robust titanium frame lock. When the blade is fully open, a portion of the handle frame moves inward to secure the blade in place, preventing accidental closure. Ensure the lock bar is fully engaged before use.

Blade Material (M390 Steel): The M390 micro-grain stainless steel blade offers supreme wear resistance and excellent edge retention. To maintain its performance, regular cleaning and proper sharpening are essential.

Уборка: After each use, especially after contact with corrosive materials, clean the blade and handle with a soft cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry immediately. Apply a light coat of knife oil to the blade and pivot area to prevent corrosion and ensure smooth operation.

Завострыванне: M390 steel maintains its edge well but requires proper sharpening techniques when needed. Use a high-quality sharpening system appropriate for premium stainless steels. Maintain the factory edge angle for optimal performance.

Handle Care (Titanium & Richlite): The titanium frame and Richlite composite handle are durable and resistant to moisture and temperature changes. Clean the handle with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the materials.

• Stiff Blade Action: If the blade feels stiff, apply a small amount of knife pivot lubricant to the pivot area. Avoid over-tightening the pivot screw, as this can hinder smooth operation.
