6.2 Setting RAID Levels

The RAID mode is set using DIP switches located on the back of the enclosure. Refer to the diagram below for specific switch configurations.

7. Initializing and Formatting Drives

1. Connect the enclosure to your computer and power it on.
2. Open Disk Management: Right-click 'This PC' (or 'My Computer'), select 'Manage', then 'Disk Management'.
3. Locate the new disk(s) (they may appear as 'Unknown' or 'Not Initialized').
4. Right-click the disk and select 'Initialize Disk'. Choose MBR for disks 2TB or less, or GPT for disks larger than 2TB.
5. After initialization, right-click the unallocated space and select 'New Simple Volume' to create and format a partition. Follow the wizard to assign a drive letter and format with your preferred file system (e.g., NTFS for Windows).
