To calibrate the printer (Auto-Sensing), ensure label stock is loaded, turn off the printer, then press and hold the FEED button while turning the printer on. Keep holding FEED until the LED flashes red, then release. The printer will measure the label size automatically and print a self-test page.
A flashing red LED typically indicates an error state. Common causes include the printer being out of paper, the label sensor not detecting a gap (requires calibration), the print head overheating, or the memory being full. Check the manual's error section for the specific beep pattern association.
Attach the new ribbon to an empty ribbon core on the rewind hub. Place the new roll on the supply hub. Guide the ribbon under the print mechanism/print head and tape it to the rewind core. Rotate the rewind wheel to tighten the ribbon and remove wrinkles before closing the print head.
