Water-based ink supports porous materials like uncoated cartons and fabrics. Solvent ink is more versatile, supporting both porous and non-porous surfaces such as plastics, glass, metal, pipe, stone, aluminum foil, and cable.
Turn off the handheld printer and remove the ink cartridge. Clean the nozzle with alcohol and cover it with the protective cap. Store the cartridge with the nozzle upright in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
No ink is completely indelible. Most ink can be cleaned up with alcohol. The ease of removal depends on the material; generally, bright or smooth surfaces are easier to wipe clean than matte or frosted surfaces.
